The XmlTextReader in cvs is currently being rewritten because it's too
broken to be of much use. In the rewrite, most of the old code has
simply been ripped out. The rewritten reader should work just like the
MS reader once it's done, but I've still got a lot to do before it's
even ready for a cvs commit. I'm usually pretty bad at giving ETAs for
stuff like this, so I'll leave it at "it should be done sometime this
decade". :)
