[Duplicity-talk] Can duplicity not delete local copy and gradually add to remote gpg store?

I want to store SQL dumps on a bastion, and have it upload to a backend nightly (rackspace cloudfiles)
I notice when I delete/prune the dumps off my bastion server, the cloudfiles revisions are also deleted.
I tried
--rsync-options="--archive"
Doesn't do what I want though. Anyone familiar with a way to get this behavior?
