Hi,
Is there any way to disable file permissions in duplicity, either at the
point of creating the backup, or at the stage of restoring it?
In some cases you end up restoring a backup to a location where the
original users and groups are unavailable (or inappropriate), and in
that case it would be nice to tell duplicity to ignore the saved file
permissions, in order to avoid a spam of
Error '[Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '<filename>'' processing .
messages, which I presume is the result of duplicity trying to set
permissions in a non-permitted fashion (the user exists, but the chown
operation is not allowed, in my case).
Does some way around this already exist? And if not, is it a reasonable
feature to request?
