-------- Messaggio originale --------
Since Nik complained that this list is so quiet, here here is a piece of
news from Estonia.
Next Friday in Tallinn there will be a conference about Free software in
schools. Organized by the ministery of education in collaboration with
Estonian FOSS association (http://alvatal.ee/). Invited are school
directors and IT personnel.
Topics are e.g.
09.30 "Free" and "free"?
10.00 Why and which free software for educational institutions?
10.30 Opportunities of free software in ICT teaching
11.00 Peter Hofmann (video conference) talks about the LiMux project
12.30 Silver Püvi reports about the pilot project "free software in
schools of Tallinn"
13.30 Experience report "Moving to free software" by Estonian Music and
Theater academy
13.30 Usage of Odoo and Zentyal in public institutions

(My quick translation of the original programme, only in Estonian at

Just my 2 cents, just FYI... hoping that others feel encouraged to write
about what's going on. Because AFAICS this should be the goal of this
list, shouldn't it?
