[emacs-bidi] visual-mode, LyX

Hello

The current discussion was initialized by a question from
Matan Ninio concerning the BIDI version of emacs-20.4.

I would like to make a comment on this.
Comparing the only existing logical BIDI supports for gnu
emacs emacs-20.4 and emacs-19.34: emacs-20.4 has isearch abilities
and ispell support (which emacs-19.34 lacks).

However emacs-20.4 has no visual cursor movement support as
emacs-19.34 has, this is such an inconvenience that I
returned to emacs-19.34.

On the other hand emacs-20.4 is very buggy and now outside
the current development.

However could may be Handa-san tell us whether with some effort
it would be possible to add visual support of emacs-20.4?
For emacs-19.34 it was a lisp package which provided this feature.

The other comment I would like to make is based on my
experience with LyX (for those who don´t know LyX is more or
less a WYSIWYG interface for latex.)
LyX has BIDI support and also support Niqud, using MSDOS
truefonts and a truefont Xserver like xfstt.
Is there any attempt to include such a feature for emacs-21?

Another minor point: the BIDI support of LyX is still very
premature (in fact only one person is coding), so for
example if a paragraphs starts with say Hebrew and one
switches to English, the cursor just stands idle and the
characters are ´floating out´. The same is true vice versa
for a paragraph starting with English and one switches to
Hebrew. To me surprise it is not that inconvenient as it
sounds.

This attempt may be worth copying it for the very first
steps in BIDI support for emacs-21.
