The difference is that for /address@hidden:/tmp/foo.gz it makes sense to
execute _both_ the ange-ftp action _and_ the jka-compr action.

But for /r:address@hidden:/path/to/file, it does not make sense to execute
both actions: only the Tramp action should be done.

I'm sorry that I wasn't explicit when I wrote my original message.

Linux provides a nice `poweroff' command, but where is `poweron'?
