Hard to tell.  On a graphic display, italics or bold will probably be
the best.  On character terminals, if bold is unsupported, we could
use colors, but experience shows that some people have strong feelings
about the ``angry salat'' phenomenon.

So perhaps make it bold, and if that isn't supported, tough.
