Helmut Eller's server sockets patch

(Sorry to reply out-of-thread, I just subscribed..)

I just tried Helmut's server sockets patch, and I'm hair-standingly
excited about it! I've wanted this lots and lots and lots of times,
but always done clunky cross-language hybrids when I want to make
servers in emacs - I've seen other people do this too. I think this
patch makes lots of great new hacks possible and convenient.

I really hope it gets incorporated soon. That's all! :-)

NB: I attach the copy of the patch that I got, because I couldn't find
it via the web or usenet..
