    What about 

            (height . 1.3) or (height . (1.3 . face)) => total line spacing
    or
            (equal . 1.3) or (equal . (1.3 . face)) => total line spacing

I think `total' would be clearer than `height' or `equal'.

    or
            ((1.3)) or ((1.3 . face))

That is less clear than using a symbol.
