You mean that it wouldn't help for emacs-lisp-mode.  You're right.
The problem with emacs-lisp-mode should be fixed elsewhere.

I suggested to compare (not (equal (nth 0 ppss) (nth
0 jit-lock-context-ppss))) for "completeness".
