Gnus/5.110004 (No Gnus v0.4) Emacs/21.4 (gnu/linux) |
(emacs-version)
"GNU Emacs 21.4.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu)
of 2005-10-03 on trouble, modified by Debian"
dired-do-shell-command's documentation reads:
"In a noninteractive call (from Lisp code), you must specify
the list of file names explicitly with the FILE-LIST argument."
May I suggest including the following tip:
"In a noninteractive call (from Lisp code), you must specify
the list of file names explicitly with the FILE-LIST argument...
(using 'dired-get-marked-files' for example)"
