Please go ahead.  The problem with MIK and the other DOS "codepages"
is that some of the codes in the codepages correspond to several
Unicode symbols.  The choice of Microsoft for these symbols is not the
best but it is better to stick with it in order have everywhere only
one definition of MIK.
