Many thanks. It seems to do what the bug submitter wants, but since I
have no experience whatsoever with RTL languages I would like him to
confirm that.
@Itai: if you are interested in testing, here are short instructions
how to get and build Emacs from CVS:
# apt-get build-dep emacs22
# apt-get install build-essential cvs
$ cvs -z3 -d :pserver:address@hidden:/sources/emacs co emacs
$ cd emacs
$ ./configure --with-gtk
$ make bootstrap
$ src/emacs
