23.0.60; customize-unlispify change: no effect in existing buffers

emacs -Q
Open Customize on a group or option.
M-x set-variable custom-unlispify-tag-names nil

The existing Customize buffer is not updated to show the change. Even
if you had quit the buffer using q, and you later use Customize again,
it is not updated. To get it to be updated, you must kill the buffer
before using Customize again.

Existing Customize buffers should be updated as soon as the variable
is changed. Many users will not think of killing the buffer (they
might use `q', however) and re-entering Customize to see the update.

In GNU Emacs 23.0.60.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600)
 of 2008-04-04 on LENNART-69DE564
Windowing system distributor `Microsoft Corp.', version 5.1.2600
configured using `configure --with-gcc (3.4) --no-opt --cflags -Ic:/g/include
-fno-crossjumping'
