Many ISPs block port 25 for outgoing traffic, so it's probably better
not to rely on that working. But it could be used as a fallback if
smtpmail hasn't been configured, or if it fails when sending the bug
report, perhaps?
And the open SMTP server could also listen on an alternative port to
avoid firewall issues slightly more.
