We are miscommunicating.
The MSYS2 mingw64 builds (i686 and x86_64) all work correctly.
The problem is with the MinGW (mingw.org, i686 only) builds.
This would all be a lot less confusing if the two unreleated projects
had chosen more distinctive names.
