I am more for the "you asked for it, you got it" policy. It is not like this will occur in a standard lisp package. And many window managersdo put a close button on them, so it is also WM dependent if it is possible to manipulate. If user want to do silly things, why stop them? What exactly is the case we're discussing here?
You can in Emacs specify a popup dialog without any buttons. Jan D.
