In CVS GNU Emacs 21.3.50.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit) of
2003-07-10, newlines in the "term" terminal emulator are not
followed by a carriage return. This bug makes term impossible to
use.
To reproduce (with 'emacs -q'):
1. M-x term [RET]
2. [RET] (selects /bin/bash)
3. ls color=no
What I see is the following:
~ $ ls color=no
backup bin dls mail.tar.gz misc
~ $
The correct behavior is to have all three lines aligned at the
beginning of the line. Emacs 21.2 behaves correctly.
