No, I still get the same error.
After issueing `M-x customize-face RET bold RET' the lines regarding
the definition of the bold face in the customize buffer stop after
`Font Family'.
So what I see is:

| State: unknown, you should not see this.
| Basic bold face.
| Parent groups: Basic Faces
| Attributes: [ ] Font Family:
