[Well, `classic' mac/window behavior is a fixed-sized elevator, but
luckily they eventually realized what a botch _that_ is... :-]
To be honest though, I just don't this is a very important detail.
Emacs behavior is self-consisent, useful, and close enough to other
apps to not cause any particular problem -- for the most part, it
feels the same.
I suppose it will cause stress among those people that freak out over
_anything_ that isn't exactly the same as their other apps, but then,
they really aren't going to be very happy with emacs in general...
