The desktop module now catches errors signaled by handlers - an error 
will not stop loading the rest of the buffers. Furthermore, when the 
desktop is loaded, a message is displayed telling the number of buffers 
restored and the number of fails. The cause of the fail is also printed, 
but one have to look in the message buffer.
