For instance, if one of the listed files is a directory, then using
`i' to insert that directory will only work if the default directory
is "/'.  My guess is that there several other (and probably better)
examples.  The *Locate* buffer is probably not unusable with a default
directory other than "/".  For _ideal_ use, with _all_ dired
functionality that could possibly work (for instance `i') actually
working, it would seem that the default directory needs to be "/".
