In Linux, it's right. ~/.emacs.d/.eamcs(.el(c)) is loaded. But under
Windows, only ~/.emacs(.el(c)) is loaded. I got confirmation from other
I can't help you with this. Since Windows is non-free software, I
consider it unethical, and I won't have it on my computer. I only run
GNU/Linux. This rejection of non-free software is the reason that the
GNU operating system exists. We developed it so we could escape from
non-free software.
It sounds like you sometimes use the GNU operating system, but you
call it "Linux". Linux is just the kernel, just one piece of the
system. When you're using the GNU operating system with Linux as the
kernel, would you please call it "GNU/Linux", not "Linux"? Please
give us a share of the credit for the system that is mainly our work.
