My bad. I searched for backward-kill-sexp. Thanks. (Good reason.)
In Emacs 20, backward-kill-sexp is bound by default to
C-M-backspace. In Emacs 21, it looks like this is no longer the
case. Yet, there is nothing in the NEWS file about this feature loss.
Yes, there is:
** The old bindings C-M-delete and C-M-backspace have been deleted,
since there are situations where one or the other will shut down
the operating system or your X server.
