If the problem is that you want to be notified that an originally
writable file has become non-writable by autorevert making the buffer
read-only, then maybe we could do something about that.  In that case,
if the user still wants to make changes, even though they can not be
saved to file, then those changes will disable autoreverting anyway,
so that autorevert will get no opportunity to override the user's
wishes.  The opposite problem, when an originally non-writable file
becomes writable is more complex, as I pointed out in my earlier
message.
