Hi

This is a strange "refresh" feature if emacs frame. In some ling
lines, specially those that contain lots of tabs, scrolling window
sometimes shows the cursor, sometimes not. When it doesn show the
cursor, simply moving the Emacs frame in my favorite window manager
(Window Maker), after I release the frame, the arrow in the left
fringle disappears.

How to reproduce

1) $ emacs -Q

2) Type the following
     C-u 50 C-q TAB C-a C-next !
(put 50 tabs, beginning of line, scroll-left, enabling all
  disabled commands)

3) At this point I see no cursor and the display shows something like
  `< >' (< and > are the fringles)

4) Move the emacs frame in the window manager with the mouse.

5) I see now the display showing something like
  ` >'

If emacs crashed, and you have the emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
   `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/local/share/emacs/22.0.50/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
