Richard modified that section on Sat Jul 29 02:26:45 2006 UTC, so
unless your build is later than that, your version of display.texi is
different. This URL will show the changes installed by Richard:

Thanks, Eli, but the sections (of that node) that I was referring to do not
seem to have changed. My comments remain as they were. The bug report was
about face-background, and I don't see that clarified.
