confusing completion listig for "g" in info

This isnt really a bug, but is confusing.

- start info
- type "g"
- type (emacs-1 TAB

there is now a listing like this:

In this buffer, type RET to select the completion near point.

Possible completions are:
emacs-1                            emacs-1.gz
emacs-10                           emacs-10.gz
emacs-11                           emacs-11.gz
emacs-12                           emacs-12.gz
emacs-13                           emacs-13.gz
emacs-14                           emacs-14.gz

the "gz" files dont feel necessary and clutters things up.
