Here is how I compile emacs. Log for each step is attached. Emacs:
GNU Emacs 23.0.0.5 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.10.3) of
2006-09-26
1.
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/packages/emacs --enable-debug --with-gtk
--with-xft --enable-font-backend
--enable-locallisppath=/usr/local/share/emacs/site-lisp:/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp
Log:
CFG.log
Description: CFG.log
2. make bootstrap
Log:
MKB.log
Description: MKB.log
3. make install INSTALL_STRIP="-s"
