I've done this for toggle-case-fold-search.

It sounds like you are suggesting more items for the menu with unclear doc
strings.  What are you suggesting?

Part of the problem I experienced with info is that it sets the value of
case-fold-search (in Info-mode and Info-find-node-in-buffer).  I think it
should just bind it temporarily, if needed, and operations like isearch-forward
should work according to _my_ preference.
