Is there a way to put a non-breaking space in a muse document? This
should publish as " " in html and as "~" in latex.
Can you give me an example of a context there non-breaking space would
be useful? The <example> tag inserts non-breaking space, and is
useful for displaying chunks of monospace, verbatim text, like code
snippets.
One example would be a reference to a course, like Math 106. It looks
ugly and distracts the reader if there is a line break at the space, so
that "106" is at the beginning of a line. A more striking example
would be a name with initials or a title. For instance, if you wrote
"M. Olson" or "Mr. Olson" you wouldn't want a line break after the "M."
or the "Mr.".
