emms-player-mpd can go into emms-all; I've got it working to my
satisfaction, and a friend is successfully using it as well.
emms-playing-time is also fairly stable. One minor foible: when
several programs want to use `global-mode-string', its initial value
has to be '("") for them to cooperate correctly. I'm not sure how to
make emms-playing-time do the right thing (making a new list
consisting of one string) when `global-mode-string' is nil, since
other programs (ERC, appt) are also unable to cope with this.
