Umm, I'm afraid that writing a command-line tool that would cover most
of Taglib's features is a substantial task. But a simple EMMS-specific
tagger utility could be hacked together easily. Like one that would
read key-value pairs from stdin and write them into the given file
in-place. That could be then, after some elisp interfacing, used
instead of mp3info and whatnot.
(I'm completely unaware of these issues since I use Picard for all
tagging.)
