[Fab-user] pip install fabric fails

I get this error when trying to install fabric with pip:

Downloading/unpacking fabric

  Cannot fetch index base URL http://pypi.python.org/simple/

  Could not find any downloads that satisfy the requirement fabric

No distributions at all found for fabric

Storing complete log in /root/.pip/pip.log

 

Anyone know why that is happening?
