What we did:

21 May 2002
        Jung-Hoon Lee, the representative of GNU Korea made a speech at
        Sangmyung University <http://www.sangmyung.ac.kr/> to the
        students of Software Engineering with the subject of
        "GNU as our Future."

28 May 2002
        Jung-Hoon Lee, the representative of GNU Korea made a speech and
        seminar with the subject of "GNU as our Future" at the 'Next
        Generation IT Industry activation Seminar 2002' held by
        Korea Association of Information & Telecommunication 
        <http://www.kait.or.kr/>. It was done at Central City Hotel at
        Gangnam, Seoul, Korea.

28 May 2002
        For the sound and solid growth of free software, GNU Korea works
        together with "Open Software Forum" which aims lifting the
        competitiveness of domestic software industry and manpower by
        finding, deploying, and reusing open software. For the philosophical
        direction and guide lines of GNU Korea, please read "Free software
        Entropy <http://korea.gnu.org/journal/freesoftware_entropy.html>"
        (in Korean language) and "Why ``Free Software'' is better than 
        ``Open Source''

4 June 2002
        GNU Korea joins "Working Group for Open Source Software Activation"
        made for drafting and making policy of 'Korea IT Industry Promotion
        Agency' <http://www.software.or.kr/> under the control of Korean 
        Government.

5 June 2002
        LinuxMagazine <http://www.linux-magazine.co.kr/>, issued monthly,
        decided to make a exclusive and private section for GNU Korea from
        July 2002. This section will be used to introduce the wholly
        free softwares. GNU Korea currently have one more exclusive
        section on Microsoftware (issued monthly) used for Brave GNU World
        (in Korean Language) and some philosophical writings. (PS: Monthly
        magazine Microsoftware has nothing related with Microsoft Korea.)

7 June 2002
        Jam Lee, the staff of GNU Korea is going to make a speech and
        seminar at Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute
        (ETRI, <http://www.etri.re.kr/e_etri/>) in Daejeon, Korea.
        The seminar will be on GNU GPL.

        GNU Korea 대표인 이정훈씨는 2002년 5월 21일 4시 30분에 상명대학교
        소프트웨어공학과 학부생들을 대상으로 "GNU as our future" 라는
        주제로 강연회를 실시하였습니다.

2002년 5월 28일
        GNU Korea 대표인 이정훈씨는 2002년 5월 28일 한국정보통신 산업협회
        주관으로 강남 센트럴시티호텔에서 실시된 "차세대 IT 산업 활성화
        세미나 2002" 에서 "GNU as our future" 라는 주제로 세미나를
        진행하였습니다.

        공개 소프트웨어의 발굴, 보급을 통해 재사용과 소프트웨어 산업
        경쟁력을 강화하고 국내 업체의 기술력 향상과 인력 양성에 기여함"을
        목적으로 하는 [공개소프트웨어 포럼]에 자유소프트웨어의 건전한
        발전을 위해 GNU Korea 가 참여합니다. 이와 관련한 GNU Korea 의
        철학적 고찰로서 "자유소프트웨어 엔트로피"와 "왜 자유소프트웨어가
        오픈소스보다 좋은가"를 참고하시기 바랍니다.

2002년 6월 4일
        정통부/한국소프트웨어진흥원의 정책을 입안하기 위한 "오픈소스
        소프트웨어 활성화를 위한 워킹그룹"에 GNU korea 가 참여합니다.

2002년 6월 5일
        월간 리눅스매거진에서는 2002년 7월호부터 자유소프트웨어를 소개하는
        GNU korea 전용 섹션을 만들어 게재하기로 하였습니다.
        현재 GNU Korea에서 고정적으로 글을 쓰는 곳은 프로그래밍 전문 잡지인
        원간 마이크로소프트웨어가 있습니다. (잡지 이름이 좀 이상하지만)

2002년 6월 7일
        GNU Korea staff 이신 이제명씨께서는 2002년 6월 7일 오후 1시
        30분에 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI)에서 연구원분들을 대상으로 GPL
        세미나를 갖기로 하였습니다.
