[Freetype] 2.1.1 2.1.2 Link errors.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before. I get the following when try to 
link against freetype on Mac OS X

/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
_FT_New_Face


I have scoured the docs for any clue but have found none. I use the make 
system to build the libs. I did a dump of the symbols in the lib and 
sure enough FT_New_Face isn't to be found.

Am I missing something?
