Guys,
sorry that this might be a little off-topic, but does anybody have any more
ideas on how to extract a PFA/PFB (including a decent AFM with *all* the
kerning information) from an OpenType font? I tried various tools:
- - ttf2pt1 uses Freetype, but freetype does not seem to be able to extract
OpenType kerning information (see my mail from yesterday),
- - ttx/fonttools does not support the FeatureParams table of my OTF (Adobe
Minion Pro) and thus cannot dissect the OTF,
- - pfaedit is the only thing that once worked for me, but I always get
segfaults with the newer versions of it.
Would ttf2pt1 work for me if Freetype was able to handle OpenType kerning
information properly?
Thanks,
Marco
