[ft] lower positioned characters are cut with the example application

Hi,

I have used a smaller size 64X48 for the bitmap display in the example
application (below):
I observed that characters that span below the base line like g,j,p,q,y have
the lower sections cut in the output. What could be the reason for the same? I
am using standard courier.ttf file as the first argument for font file.

For example if I run the below application for character "g" what I get as
output is:

               +++***+++
            +************+  ************+
          +****************+************+
        +*******************************+
       +********************************+
      +*********************************+
     +**********++++++******************+
     *********+        +***********
    +********+          +**********
    ********+            +*********
   +*******+              +********
   +*******                +*******
   *******+                +*******
   *******+                +*******
   *******                  *******
   *******                  *******
   *******+                +*******
   *******+                +*******
   *******+                +*******
   +*******+              +********
   +********+            +*********
    +********+          +**********
    +*********+        +***********
     +**********++++++*************
      +****************************
       +***************************
        +**************************
         +*****************+*******
           +*************+  *******
              +++***++++    *******
                            *******
                           +*******
