Dear Sir or Madam,

The European Commission's IDA Unit is organising an OSS Workshop on Competence 
in the Public Sector to bring together representatives from existing and 
potential OSS Competence Centres and representatives from European public 
administrations. This one-day workshop will take place during the LinuxTag 
Conference and Exhibition in Karlsruhe (Germany) on June 23, 2004 and will 
aim to foster the exchange of information and best practices on the setting 
up and running of such Competence Centres.

Would you like to submit a presentation?

Short, thought-provoking presentations are invited in order to promote an open 
discussion. Presentations should focus on practical experiences of setting up 
and running OSS Competence Centres in the context of the relevant European 
and national policies.

If you would like to submit a presentation, please contact IDA's OSS Event

will consider the possibility of reimbursing the travel expenses of speakers.


Would you like to contribute to IDA's Competence Centre Booklet?

In the context of the forthcoming workshop, IDA will produce a booklet of 
known public sector organisations in Europe that provide assistance on issues 
related to open source software. A first version of this booklet will be 
issued before the event and updated with information acquired during the 
workshop.
