I'm working on Tru64 and OpenVMS Alpha & VAX support.

Because of the OpenVMS platforms I'm also working on code clean up where I 
find it and cleaning it up so I cna progress on the OpenVMS & Tru64 ports.

Currently the Tru64 port is on hold for code clean up in the gcl/o files 
that I have to dig into.

The OpenVMS port is starting work on the gcl/o files and so far appears to 
have the GMP library working as it pasts all the tests.  I'm working on 
seeing if I can get the GMP stuff currently in GCL to build as a shared 
library for OpenVMS and I broke the OpenVMS support rather badly.

I've been asked to try to build the entire GMP package on OpenVMS with 
hopes of getting shared libraries that will possibly work with future 
versions of GCL and I haven't even started that yet as shared libraries on 
OpenVMS involves alot of hand work. (one must list evey function in the 
library at link time so the proper symbol vectors can be established.)

That's where I am.
