Without trying it, I'd say that it would work...in fact I believe this is
the form that I had sent to WFS quite some time ago.

Yes...the consistency argument should win.

I'm flattered, but I just hack as required to get things running.  I
will continue to send small patches to the group for consideration if
that's okay...I really feel someone with the bigger picture needs to
be checking my hacks.
