Of course. What I'd like to do is to have an informal autobuild setup
with the latest binary packages of working cvs snapshots on a variety
of platforms automatically installed at the official GNU site. For
Debian packages, I'll just be mirroring the official Debian pool for
gcl. We could also benefit from solaris, Windows, and rpm. I've got
a solaris account at utexas now and am working on the build there.
When done, I can write a quick script to build the package there and
upload to the ftp site if successful. This will be run as part of the
Debian package upload I do periodically.

Of course, if someone had a Windows box with ssh access, that host as
well could be added to the script. I never have understood why Cygwin
et. al. have so much unix, but no remote ssh shell. Likewise with a
Redhat box. Of course, we can also decentralize and have other
individuals claim responsibility for the snapshot binary packages.

We have to label the binaries clearly on the ftp site to distinguish
from official releases, but the way gcl development is going thus
far, I imagine the snapshots will be useful to some.

Take care,
