To the extent that XMaxima works with sockets, yes.
However, socket code in "o/run_process.c" and "o/nsockets.c" has not been
ported. I've made a couple of abortive attempts so far but sockets, like
BFD linking, are an area I've managed to avoid in my life and it would be
nice to find someone to help out.
Someone in the know should rationalise the various bits of socket code in
GCL I think.
