I think that may be because IBM (tm) used to incorporate gcmd (tm) in Thinkpads
(tm), as filemanager of the ThinVantage (tm) recovery boot.
It seems Lenovo has ditched that now, but then, NASA has ditched Lenovo too.
They run anything on iPods now.
