I'll get the dependency zip and also get the latest from cvs.
I'm also wondering if you could give a gut-feel assessment of the level of
effort required for the following extension I'm considering building using
Globulation as a base. I'm developing a simulation based learning game for
5th graders. It's supposed to teach something about nutrition and the wider
aspects of the food system. So in the context of globulation, I imagined:
1) Adding a capability that would allow the kids to specify a "menu" for the
units as they go about their tasks. One goal would be to specify foods
(taking the globs to be more human than glob) that would have higher
nutritional value; globs get sick/develop illnesses over time/etc. with
high-fat/sugar+low nutrient diets;
2) Adding "subclasses" of restaurants(inns I think in the current game)/food
processing plants that would allow the students to add and explore
environmental effects of having to support various diets.
The goal of play in such a system is keeping the population healthy in a
sustainable way.
