URL: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=16771> Summary: probing USB CDROM and other types Project: Gluster Submitted by: ab Submitted on: Wednesday 06/07/2006 at 03:10 Category: Gluster Core Severity: 5 - Blocker Item Group: Hardware Detection Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open _______________________________________________________ Details: USB CDROMs and other types are not detected. Refer to $LINUX_SRC/Documentation/devices.txt for device major numbers that are CDROM driver only devices. Or come up with a better probing strategy. As of now only IDE internal CDROMs are detected automatically. It is even enough if we support USB CDROMS. They appear as /dev/scd1 and /dev/sr0 (obsolete interface). _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=16771> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.nongnu.org/
