Hi Gaius,

I am preferring (and using) MacPorts. Is it possible to make it or my only way to get gm2 on OSX is Homebrew?

Thanks,
dd

Hi,

I am following instructions on building a MacPorts gm2. But, it fails
for me, failing step says:

narsil:~ root# cd
"/opt/local/var/macports/build/_Users_dragisha_MacPorts_ports_lang_gm2-latest/gm2-latest/work/build"
&& ../gcc-4.1.2/configure --prefix=/opt/local -
-enable-languages=c,c++,gm2 --libdir=/opt/local/lib/gm2-latest -
-includedir=/opt/local/include/gm2-latest -
-infodir=/opt/local/share/info --mandir=/opt/local/share/man -
-with-local-prefix=/opt/local --with-system-zlib --disable-multilib -
-disable-nls --with-gxx-include-dir=/opt/local/include/gm2-latest/c++/

It looks like MacPorts recipe did not patch gcc-4.1.2 tree or
something…

Any1 experienced this?

TIA,

Hi Dragisha,

thanks for the report - yes it looks as if the macports gm2 tarball is
not being generated correctly.  Do you (and other subscribers) use
homebrew or macports?

I hear good reports of homebrew from work (I see homebrew supports
gcc-48x which would match the latest stable gm2 release).  I wonder
whether it might be a good candidate from which to base a patch?

regards,
Gaius
