Follow-up Comment #1:

I've installed aptosid, compiled Gnash and run the testsuite, and these
segfaults don't happen. It seems that the problems are related to the slave;
possibly there is a deficiency in Gnash's configure code, but possibly it's
just a spaghetti setup.

I do get some failures (not crashes) in the swfdec testsuite, but these should
be treated as individual bugs.
