Ouch, this is annoying indeed.
Which version of gnash is this ? Can you try with code from git ?

A workaround should be adding a -r1 switch (disabling sound)
or add a -M gst (or see --help for the exact syntax of this last one).
But it's a bug, if still occurring with the development version.
