Gnash will always be late, because the flash format is closed, but it may 
not be an issue at some point, since the innovations in the format are
likely to be of decreasing interest. If not it means that there is a
design flaw in the format. Therefore there should be less and less
new flash files using new features and gnash should be able to catch up. 

0.8.2 is already impressively good in my (certainly biased) opinion.
